"We measure success not only in new facilities built and dollars raised, but also in the empowerment of congregations to achieve their dreams while fulfilling the mission of The United Methodist Church." Nancy Young Hruschka, MSW, MPA |
Nancy Young Hruschka serves as the director of fundraising services at the Foundation. She brings over 25 years of not-for-profit experience in the areas of fundraising and community relations, major donor development, training, special events, organizational development and facilities management.
Prior to joining the Foundation in 2010, Nancy served as vice president of development for Action Ministries, Inc. This ministry, which serves low income and homeless persons, is affiliated with the North Georgia Conference of The United Methodist Church. Nancy was responsible for fundraising, development, donor management and public relations activities.
Nancy began her career in development while serving as the executive director of the YWCA of New Britain, Connecticut. During her tenure, she launched an aggressive annual giving program, conducted a $2.65 million capital campaign and supervised the building of a state-of-the-art child care center adjacent to the facility.
Nancy was raised in The United Methodist Church. An active church member, she has served as chair and fundraising consultant of a $2 million capital campaign, chaired stewardship committees and served as a member of the board of trustees.
Nancy earned both of her master’s degrees in social work and public administration from West Virginia University. She graduated from Illinois State University with a bachelor’s degree in social work.
In leading the Foundation’s Fundraising Services, Nancy fulfills her desire to partner with churches in fulfilling their vision through God’s grace and abundance.
