Something to Think About with Keith Lawder and Steve Waldorf - 4-16-18 Devotion
“Unless I see the mark of the nails in his hands … I will not believe.” – John 20:25
Thomas gets the blame for doubting. But, of course, we are right there with him. Given the choice of being gullible and surely getting hurt or being skeptical and maybe getting hurt, we usually choose the latter. I have a friend who refuses to believe because something he prayed for as a child did not happen the way he had hoped. Have you ever tested God with a prayer? Have you made your faith conditional on things working out a certain way? Faith is knowing what is true and real especially when we cannot see it. I am greatly relieved that God is not limited by what I can see or understand. Lord, I believe. Help me in my unbelief!
