Something to Think About with Keith Lawder and Steve Waldorf 6-11-18 Devotion

In Mark 3:25 Jesus says, “And if a house is divided against itself, that house cannot stand!” Abraham Lincoln appropriated these words and many other biblical quotes for his speeches. He was convinced that the carnage of the Civil War was the result of people on both sides insisting that their interpretation of Scripture was exclusively God’s will. The result was an incalculable loss for all. We live in a time when the pressures to divide us as a nation, as a church, as citizens of the world, are all great. Yet Jesus’ words remind us that we are all one in Him! “Not my will, O Lord, but thine. Let it be so.”
