Something to Think About with Keith Lawder and Steve Waldorf - June 19, 2017 Devotion
“We have access by faith into this grace in which we stand through Him, and we boast in the hope of God’s glory!” - Romans 5:2
No religion other than Christianity recognizes grace as the key to our salvation. Philip Yancey tells a wonderful story about returning a rental car 58 minutes late. He expected to be charged for another day. At the counter, however, the agent told him there was no additional fee. The “grace” period was one hour. Startled, Yancey asked, “What is grace?” “I don’t know,” she replied. “I guess it means that even though you are supposed to pay, you don’t have to.” It is precisely because of God’s grace that we do not have to pay even though we should. Our hope is that we, by virtue of the grace we have received, might extend God’s grace to all we meet!
