About Us

The Georgia United Methodist Foundation is a nonprofit agency of The United Methodist Church. We are the fifth largest out of 43 U.S.-based United Methodist foundations.

Our History

The South Georgia United Methodist Foundation was founded in 1978. The North Georgia United Methodist Foundation was founded in 1984. The South and North Georgia United Methodist Foundations merged to become the Georgia United Methodist Foundation in 2010.

Our Purpose and Mission

The purpose of the Georgia United Methodist Foundation is to partner with congregations, nonprofits, individuals, and families in direct support of the ministries and mission of the church. In this way, the Foundation is a ministry partner as we seek to live out our mission to provide faith-based financial solutions for investing, lending, training, and planned giving.
