GUMF Recognized at UMAC’s Virtual Awards Gala

On May 21, 2020, United Methodist communicators from across the connection gathered for the United Methodist Association of Communicator’s virtual awards gala. Each year, UMAC recognizes excellence in communication through an extensive awards program that encompasses print publications, digital publications, writing, internet communications, video production, audio, photography, visual design, publicity/advertising, and media presentations.

The Georgia United Methodist Foundation’s “Faith & Money” received First Place in the Print Publications/Newsletter category. GUMF’s 2018 Annual Report, “Impacting Lives Together!” received Second Place in the Print Publications/Special Publication category. 

The North Georgia Conference received three awards at the celebration, including one prestigious “Best in Class” award–the highest honor in any category. David Giles and Sybil Davidson won Best in Class for Visual Design and First Place for Logo Design for the “At The Table With Bishop Sue” logo. Rebecca Wallace and Sybil Davidson received a Second Place award for Article Series for their “Meet the Laity” features in 2019. Sybil Davidson and Bishop Sue Haupert-Johnson also received Second Place in Podcast or Internet Stream for the “At The Table with Bishop Sue” podcast.
