Loan Empowers Golden Memorial UMC
By Rev. Dr. Gregory Williams, Senior Pastor of Golden Memorial UMC in Douglasville
Golden Memorial UMC has become one of the fastest growing churches in the Rome-Carrollton District because of our diverse Christian ministries, three different Sunday services, leadership, location, visitor and welcome packages, and our evangelism plan to reach everyone in the community.
Golden understands the Church is meant to be a living organism that helps people encounter the living God together and grow closer to Him. Golden focuses on providing a church that mirrors God and transforms lives in the community one person at a time.
Charles Buffington Jr. (GUMF Board Member) recently consulted on our three-year Lifestyle Stewardship Campaign that began in 2016. The money will be used for our new Family Life Center.
He recommended we refinance our church loan with GUMF. The loan with GUMF allows Golden to receive a lower interest rate. By having a lower monthly mortgage, the loan provides Golden with the financial flexibility to do ministry and to grow and expand.
