Something to Think About 10-7-19
“Oh for a thousand tongues to sing my great Redeemer’s praise, the glories of my God and King, the triumphs of his grace!” – The United Methodist Hymnal #57 Verse 1
Charles Wesley penned the words to the first verse of this great hymn in 1739. There are 24 verses in our hymnal and many more in other repositories. One of my seminary professors held up the words to this hymn as a full outline of Wesleyan theology. Imagine for a moment that you are part of a 1,000 tongue choir enthusiastically singing God’s praises! Lord, let me begin each day by praising you with a full and grateful heart.
